Ingredients
3 to 4 drops peppermint oil ~ optional
1/8 teaspoon. borax powder
1 teaspoon. coconut oil
1 teaspoon grated beeswax
1/2 cup mint water
1/2 cup sunflower oil
Mix the mint water and borax together, stir until thoroughly mixed
In a glass meauring cup mix sunflower oil, coconut oil, and beeswax
Place the cup with the oils - beeswax mixture in a pan with about 1 to2 inches of waterfor a hot water bath
Heat over medium heat for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally until the beeswax is melted then set aside
Bring the mint solution almost to boiling by placing in a glass cup and microwaving on high for about 1 minute or in a stove top hot water bath
Remove the oils beeswax mixture from the water bath
Slowly add the mint water and borax to the mixture in the blender
and whip.
Add peppermint oil if using
Allow the lotion to cool completely it will thicken as it cools so do not be concerned if it seems a bit thin
Pour the lotion into clean container and cover
Note:
To make mint water boil fresh or dried mint leaves in water and et cool
Strain mint leaves
Use 1 cup fresh mint or 1/4 cup dried mint leaves to 1 cup of water
